FacebookTwitterGoogle+PinterestTumblrE-mail Tired of boring, plain nails? Want something a bit more exciting? Something fierce? The perfect manicure to try are zebra print nails! They’re incredible, can go with pretty much any outfit and work in so many different colors. They are just great. If you look around at the different fashion trends then you will see quite a lot of animal prints. Zebra print however is often overlooked. Even though most people think of the zebra stripes as being black and white you are not limited to that with your zebra print nails. In fact you can try almost any color combination. In the designs below you’ll get some good ideas of the different colors you can try and how well they all work. Zebra Nails Tutorial Things you will need: Nail Art Brush (preferably a thin one – for thin stripes!) A Base Coat A Top Coat Optional: Nail Polish Remover and Q-tips/cloth Apply your base coat and let it dry. Using your nail art brush gently move the brush across your nail from different sides, making a sort of “<” or “v” shape, and then flick the brush off your nail at the end to make a point. You can choose to do your stripes in any direction – vertically, horizontally and even diagonally. If you feel like you are going to struggle, try practicing on a piece of paper first until you feel more confident. Apply your top coat making sure you’re gentle so you don’t wipe your stripes off. You can finish at this point or use some polish remover to touch up anywhere you may have been a little messy. You’re done! You can use such a variety of colors for every part of the zebra print – base, stripes, top coat – so have fun with it. If doing the zebra print freehand is too tricky you can find some great plates and stamps that will create a perfect design for you. Alternatively you could go to a nail salon and have a professional do it for you. Not as fun but the results will be guaranteed fantastic looking zebra print nails. The main thing to remember is to enjoy your zebra nails – they’re a fantastic design and go with everything. The designs below will give you an idea of things to try and from there just let your creativity guide you!
